MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of New Jerusalem Deliverance Temple is to explain the ways of God and interpret the spiritual laws of life so that you can achieve spiritual maturity.

The church will help you think in larger terms, see the good in other people, recognize your own faults, correct your weaknesses and turn your mind to Godly things.

It is our mission to be blessed indeed, expand our borders, live a splendid life, and prepare for the coming of the Lord.

Above all, foster Love, for "The Power is in the Love!"

BIO: Pastor Jacqueline Faye Johnson

Jacqueline Faye Saunders-Johnson, the eldest daughter of Bishop Monroe and Mother Alberta Saunders, comes from a religious family having been born the second in line of six children (3 Sisters and 2 Brothers).

She is the product of the Baltimore City Public School System having graduated with honors from Forest Park Senior High School.  She also graduated from Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education.  Pastor Johnson is currently pursuing studies in the Master’s Graduate School of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry.

She married Bishop Robert E. Johnson, Sr. in 1969 and from this union has come Keturah Desiree Garrett, the eldest, Katherine Faye Johnson and Robert E. Johnson, Jr.  Pastor Jackie is also the proud grandmother of two (2) grandsons - - Nicholas Allen Garrett and Robert Monroe Johnson and two (2) granddaughters - - Amaya Gayle Johnson and Kamryn Faye Garrett.

In the secular world, Pastor Jackie has taught for years in the Baltimore City Public School System as a music teacher.  She has been vocal music teacher and director of the St. Mark Catholic School Choir in Catonsville, MD since 1999.  Pastor Jackie has recently released a single CD, which is an original entitled- - - “Faith, Hope and Charity, The greatest of these is love”.  Anyone who knows Pastor Jackie knows that she firmly believes that the “POWER IS IN THE LOVE”. In fact, the single and facts about her and her ministry can be found on the web at www.thepowerisinthelove.org.  Pastor Jackie has been the Minister of Music for the United Church for a number of years and has given concerts across this country, Europe, Canada and Jamaica.  It was in 1977 that she first heard the call to expand her Ministry beyond the keyboard.  In 1985, she was consecrated Evangelist; in 1996, she was elevated to Ordained Elder and Co-Pastor with her husband of the New Jerusalem Deliverance Temple Church in Westport area of Baltimore City.  It was at the Convocation of 2002 that her husband turned over the reigns of the local church and she was consecrated Pastor by the Board of Bishops of the United Church.

This anointed woman is chosen and sent by God to be a weapon against Satan and his kingdom.  She is a woman full of the Holy Ghost and Power that the Lord is using in these last days.  She has the gift of laying on of hands and is known for her work at the altar.  She is well qualified to bring the Word of Life, for she has a praying spirit and will yield herself to the Lord.  She has been a blessing to the United Church worldwide, her family, her local church, her community and the body of Christ.

Her foremost prayer can be found in the words of the song: JESUS USE ME, AND OH LORD DON’T REFUSE ME FOR SURELY THERE’S A WORK THAT I MUST DO; AND EVEN THOUGH ITS HUMBLE; LORD HELP MY WILL TO CRUMBLE AND THOUGH THE COST BE GREAT, I’LL WORK FOR YOU.
